Evolutionary Projects

The method of Evolutionary Project Management was developed in the early 90's by Abdagon Founder Dr. Peter Janes in the course of his dissertation and has since then been successfully applied in many projects.

Three iterations are planned for projects with a high degree of uncertainty in the dimensions of business model, organization, and technology. The first iteration shall deliver a usable result in three months. This approach aims to achieve several goals:

  • Representatives of the customer and supplier collaboratively learn what is feasible - we what isn't
  • The usable result generates value at an early stage
  • The planning accuracy for the following iterations is improved
  • All involved stakeholders gain confidence in the project progress

The procedure is today referred to as agile, the usable result as "Minimal Viable Product" (MVP) - when the method was established, these terms did not yet exist.
